WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED A DENTIST?
There are numerous reasons why an individual might require a dentist. For non-dental emergencies, patients can either go to a dentist or have a dentist brought to them. If you are a patient of Danielle's and homebound,, please inform her of your need for a dentist. She can help coordinate dental care services for you, either by arranging a home visit from a dentist or by providing guidance on accessing appropriate dental care for homebound patients. Additionally, she can assist in coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure you receive the necessary dental care while being mindful of your homebound situation.
WHAT IS THE LIABILITY OF THE REFERRING PROVIDER?
It’s no different than when referring to any other specialist. Danielle carries her own professional liability insurance.

DOES DANIELLE ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Danielle is an out-of-network provider. As a courtesy to the patient , Danielle will submit the dental claim on the patient’s behalf to the patient’s insurance company, and the insurance will reimburse the patient directly, which is why payment is due when services are rendered. Danielle does not submit claims to DentiCal or Medicare.
Having an RDHAP in a children’s school would be beneficial because it provides convenient and personalized oral care for the students, ensuring that parents don’t have to disrupt their child’s education for a dental visit.
House calls are ideal for individuals who find it difficult to visit a dental office. For caregivers, especially those unable to leave their charges unattended, it can be challenging to prioritize their own self-care.

DENTAL HYGIENE PROPHYLAXIS
Commonly referred to as a "dental cleaning”, that removes plaque, tartar, and stains from the teeth. It involves a thorough examination of the oral cavity, as well as individualized oral health care recommendations.

ORAL CANCER EXAM
INTRA-ORAL PHOTOGRAPHS
This exam is aimed at detecting early signs of oral cancer or precancerous conditions allowing for early intervention and treatment. Involves a Visual and Physical inspection and palpation of the oral cavity. The Practitioner will look for any signs or abnormalities and may also palpate the neck and throat for any unusual masses.
Photos are captured to create a detailed visual record of the oral cavity, aiding in diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring changes in oral health. They also serve as a valuable tool for patient education.
FLUORIDE VARNISH
A treatment that involves applying a strong concentration of fluoride to the surface of the teeth. Fluoride varnish is an important tool in preventative dentistry, helping to protect teeth from decay, treat tooth sensitivity, strengthen enamel, and promote good oral health for both children and adults.
SILVER DIAMINE FLUORIDE
This liquid topical medicament is used to treat and prevent new cavities from forming. This non-invasive treatment is beneficial for individuals with high cavity risk, children, and those with difficulty receiving traditional dental care.
DENTAL SEALANTS

ELECTRIC toothbrushes are designed to provide a more thorough and efficient cleaning compared to traditional manual toothbrushes. Many electric toothbrushes are equipped with features such as built-in timers, pressure sensors and multiple brushing modes to cater to individual preferences and sensitivities. For individuals with limited manual dexterity electric toothbrushes make brushing easier.
MANUAL toothbrushes, when used correctly, are comparable to electric toothbrushes. Manual toothbrushes should be replaced every 3 months and after illness.

There are many toothpaste options available for people with allergies or sensitivities to certain ingredients. These toothpastes are formulated to accommodate different needs and preferences, offering alternatives to common allergens other potential irritants. One common ingredient in toothpaste that can cause allergies is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Allergic reactions to SLS in toothpaste can cause symptoms such as oral irritation, contact dermatitis, ulceration, and dryness or flaking around the mouth. Arginine toothpaste offers benefits for preventing cavities, reducing tooth sensitivity, and promoting gum health and can be a fluoride alternative.
Bite tablets are a new way to clean your teeth. You chew them, then brush with water to make a cleaning paste. They’re convenient for travel and help reduce plastic waste.
